Sustainability

The demand for natural locally sourced produce is a challenge in and of itself.  Local demand has shown longer harvest periods are needed without the use of commercially produced fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides.  Our growers also face the challenges of the Wyoming weather, water, and how to extend the growing season.  Systems have been cultivated over several years to meet the requirements of local demand with keeping the cost low for the consumers.

Currently NEW GROWER producers have eight high tunnel shelter in production.  The use of high tunnel shelters extends the growing season from 120 days to a minimum of 200 days.
Not only does the NEW GROWER network foster a community of production and harvesting it is the goal to educate the community on self sustainability.
